Il presente contributo mira ad esprimere delle considerazioni attorno al recente volume di David Feldman “Key Ideas in Constitutional Law”, che si propone di analizzare come le costituzioni, specie quella del Regno Unito, siano il frutto della tesa dialettica tra poteri. Tale obiettivo è perseguito sovrapponendo all’approccio divulgativo, una chiave di lettura critica che tiene conto delle più contemporanee criticità proprie dell’ordinamento britannico.

This contribution seeks to offer some thoughts on David Feldman’s recent book “Key Ideas in Constitutional Law”, which examines how constitutions — and, in particular, the constitution of the United Kingdom — emerge from a complex and often tense interplay between different centres of power. It does so by combining an accessible, introductory approach with a critical perspective that engages with the most pressing contemporary challenges facing the British constitutional order.
